Minister’s Message 27th October

The Blame Game

Genesis 3:12-13 Good News Translation (GNT)

The man answered, “The woman you put here with me gave me the fruit, and I ate it.”

The Lord God asked the woman, “Why did you do this?”

She replied, “The snake tricked me into eating it.”

One of the hardest things about life is the desire to not take responsibility for our own actions. It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking “I did nothing wrong it was all the other person’s fault”. The reality is though, that there are very few times when it is all the other person’s fault, and even when it is theirs, there probably was a point at which we could have stepped in and stopped things.

If you are struggling with ‘The Blame Game’ consider this prayer:

Lord God any time we find ourselves in the garden blaming someone else, help us to stand firm with You and take the blame for the wrongs we have done.

Forgive us for our wrongs and help us to move on becoming closer to Your likeness as we do.

In Jesus Christ name.

Amen
